Guru Ram Das Ji

O my Mind, Dwell on the Lord of the Universe. Yea, Contemplate the Lord’s Name, through the Guru’s Word, and you are rid of all the Sorrows and Sins. Pause

There is but one tongue : how can it utter the whole Praise of Lord? So You bless me with myriad tongues, O’ Lord.

And even though I would Sing of Thee every moment, with each tongue, I’d would not be able to say Your whole Praise.

Guru Arjan Dev Ji

O’ God ! Be Merciful to me.

That I Suck lovingly the Honey of Your Lotus Feet like the black-bee, and come to them repeatedly.

I seek no other water but the Svanti- drop (of Your Name) like the Chatrik.

For, I am comforted not, if I do not meet You, and I live only if I see Thee, O God !
