Fifteen Lunar Days and Seven Week Days by Bhagat Kabir Ji
Raga Gauri Lunar Days
There are fifteen lunar days and seven week days- says Kabir. God has not this or that limit. The strivers and perfect persons when they know God’s secret themselves they become the Creator and themselves the Lord.
Lunar Days
No moon day : On the day of no moon,abandon your desires. Remember You Lord , the knower of hearts. Thus you shall obtain the Gate of Salvation, the Name of the Fearless Lord and the Knowledge of your own reality self. He, who enshrines affection for God’s Lotus Feet and by Saint’s Grace gets pure in mind, he remains awake day and night in singing God’s praises. Pause
Day I :On the first day of the moon you meditate on the Beloved. Bodiless, and Infinite Lord is sporting in the heart. Pain and death never consumes him, who remains absorbed in the Primal Being.
Day II : On second lunar day know that two beings are living within the body limbs. Mammon and God are blended with everything. That Unknowable, Immaculate and Changeless God neither increases nor decreases like the moon.
Day III: On the third lunar day if man maintains equilibrium in the three modes, he obtains the Root of Joy and Supreme Status. In the Saint’s society faith arises in the mortal. Ever inside and outside us is that Lord’s Light.
Day IV : On the fourth lunar day restrain your fickle mind and never ally with lust and wrath. In Sea and Land the God is all by Himself. He Himself embraces His meditation.
Day V: The world is the extension of five elements. The pursuit of gold and woman are its two occupations. Rare is the person who drinks the Nectar of Lord’s love. He doesn’t suffer the pains of old age and death- Pause.
Day VI: The six ringed runs in six directions. Without the recreation of Lord’s Name it does not remain steady. Efface duality and hold fast to tolerance. You do not endure the torture of rituals and religious rites.
Day VII: Know Gurbani as True and the All Pervading Soul shall accept you. Thy doubts shall be stilled and troubles effaced and you shall obtain the peace of the Celestial Ocean.
Day VIII: The body is made of the ingredients. In that is the Unknowable God- the King of the Supreme Treasure. The Guru who is versed in Divine Knowledge reveals this secret. Turning away from the world in the unbreakable and impenetrable Lord.
Day IX : Discipline you your nine gates. Keep in check your flowing desires. Forget all covetousness and worldly love and you shall taste immortalising fruit and live for ages.
Day X : Joy is pervading in ten directions. Doubt is dispelled and the World Lord is met. The Master is the embodiment of light, essence of all and incomparable. He is pure and free from any filth. There is no shade or sunshine where He dwells.
Day XI: On the eleventh lunar day- if man runs in one direction of Lord then he does not suffer the pangs of separation and existences. Cool and stainless gets his body and Lord who is said to be far comes close to him.
Day XII : The twelve suns arise in the horizon. Day and night the bugles play the celestial music. The mortal then sees the Father of three worlds. A wonder is struck as he is transformed from a man to God.
Day XIII : On the thirteenth lunar day the holy books proclaim that recognise the God like alike in nether world and the sky. For Him there is no high or low and no honour and dishonour. The Omnipresent God is contained alike among all.
Day XIV : In the fourteen worlds and every hair abides Lord- the foe of pride. Fix your attention on truth and contentment. Recite the dialogue of God’s knowledge. On the day of full moon, the moon is full in the heavens. With the might of its beams the gentle light is diffused. In the beginning,middle and end God is firmly fixed. Kabir is absorbed in The Ocean of Bliss.
Raga Gauri Week Days by Kabir Ji.
In all the days of the week, sing God’s praises. By meeting Guru you come to know the mystery of Lord- Pause.
On Sunday, begin god’s devotional service and contain the desire within the body castle. When day and night man’s attention is fixed on the Imperishable Place, then flute in tranquillity plays heavenly strain.
On Monday the Nectar trickles from the Moon, when tasted it quickly removes all the poison. Restrained with Gurbani, the mind remains within doors, then drinks the Nectar and gets intoxicated.
On Tuesday have a peep into reality and know the way of working of five thieves (passions). Leaving your home never wander abroad, otherwise the King shall get excessively angry.
On Wednesday man should enlighten his understanding so that the Lord may reside in his Lotus Heart. On meeting the Guru, he should consider both weal and woe alike. He ought to handle and get erect the inverted lotus of his heart.
On Thursday man should wash off his sins. Forsaking the Trinity he should attach himself to one Lord. Why he does not wash away his sins, day and night at the confluence of three streams (Knowledge, Action and Devotion embodied through Rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati).
On Friday he who day and night combats against his own self and practises endurance successfully completes his fast. If mortal controls all his five senses then he shall never even cast a glance on another.
On Saturday, he who keeps stable which is in his mind gets illumined. Within and without all his evil actions are destroyed then.
Know that as long as, in his mind, man seeks another’s patronage, he doesn’t obtain Lord’s presence. Says Kabir- when man embraces love for the Omnipotent God then he gets pure in his heart.
