Routine on a Lockdown Author: Dr.K.S. Kang

Routine in a Lockdown

Author: Dr. K.S. Kang

Whenever I get up in the morning I put on TV to listen to listen to classical devotional music telecast live from Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar till 7.45 a.m. After that I scan news channels of India, England, Germany, France, Australia, Russia, Japan, Middle East and of course Punjab. The only complaint during the lockdown is that I am unable to get local news as servants have stopped coming and I also can not go out due to curfew. Then some time is spent in reading and writing light things that I send to you now and then. Then a couple of hours are devoted to Work from Home, courtesy Higher Education Department, Government of Rajasthan. Some time is spent in watching TV serials and movies in English , Hindi and Punjabi.  Some time is spent in playing indoor games like Carrom, Chess, Chinese Checkers and Ludo that have been brought out from the closet. I have even designed a special game that is played by ping pong ball and bat which has been named by me as Roncho. After taking two meals a day and sleeping for eight hours I really have to struggle to find time for taking bath and there is hardly any time left to look into the street.
