New Issue, September 2010

Before relating to you a story currently in circulaton these days, I would like to congratulate Ishupal Singh Kang for reaching another milestone by being adjudged as best bowler for taking 13 wickets in the local tournament of the university. But it was special occassion for Surbhi alias Nidhi Cheema, who was completing twenty years of her existence on this planet on 22nd September, 2010. On this occassion she was not only congratulated telephonically but a joint card signed by her parents and surviving grand parents was sent to her. It was creditable that in 25th year of her life she made her first sojourn to a foreign land. Hope she will make more journeys in future and bring fame and laurel to the family. Our best wishes to both of these children of our family for their bright and prosperous future. This occassion was terned by her grandfather as silvery year while my personal feelings have been summed up in the following lines
Twenty five revolutins around the Sun
Have been full of happiness and fun
Wish in future also you incline
Like a star in the sky shine.
Now coming to the prevalent story these days. With the progress of civilzation democracy also reached the jungles where elections were held and monkey due to virtue of being the leader of majority party became Prime Minister. One day former ruler of the forest Lion abducted a Goat's Kid, who approcached Hon'ble Prime Minister and put foreward her plea to save her kid. Monkey after listening to goat's Kid started jumping from one branch of the tree to the other and then to the next tree. Poor Goat was waiting anxiously for some action from Prime Minister Monkey to save her kid. But when she saw no concrete action she again pleaded to Monkey. this Monkey replied very seriously,' Life of your kid is in the hand of God and fate, but if there is any lack of action from our side then you can complain'. Hope it reflects the current situation aptly.
